About me

Barbara Gohre

BSHA, C‑RGME, C‑TAGME

I've worked in graduate medical education administration for about 20 years. Today I oversee accreditation for more than 27 ACGME-accredited residency and fellowship programs, and I manage a fellowship program of my own.

Before my current role, I managed residency and fellowship programs and consulted with GME clients across the country on accreditation and operations. I've helped launch new ACGME-accredited programs and supported Clinical Competency and Program Evaluation Committees along the way.

My work covers accreditation compliance, program administration, committee governance, and onboarding. Along the way I've prepared programs for site visits, built systems that make oversight easier, and helped new administrators find their footing.

I believe the non-clinician GME role deserves more recognition, clearer definition, and a real seat at the table. Much of what I write comes back to that idea.
